Who we are

AccessAegis is a sole proprietorship owned by Harsh Dholakia and registered in West Bengal, India. We decide what information this site collects and what happens to it.

Our postal address is Suraiya Building, 33/2 Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata 700020, West Bengal, India.

For any question about this page or about your information, email [email protected].

Our services are for businesses in India and the United States. This site is not meant for children.

What the free audit form collects

The form on our free audit page asks for:

  • your name and work email
  • your brand's name and website
  • your role
  • what your brand sells
  • up to three competitors, if you choose to add them
  • why you want the audit, if you choose to say
  • how you heard about us, if you choose to say
  • that you ticked the box agreeing that we use your details for your audit

When you send the form, we also save the date and time, and the short description of your browser and device that every browser sends with a request.

We do not store your IP address. We store a scrambled code made from it, and the scrambling only works one way, so we cannot turn the code back into your address. We use the code only to limit how many requests one connection can send in an hour, which stops spam.

The form can show a spam check from Cloudflare, called Turnstile. When it does, the check runs in your browser, and when you send the form our server asks Cloudflare to confirm the check, which sends Cloudflare your IP address.

How we use your audit request

We use the details you send only to prepare your audit, send it to you by email and talk with you about it.

We never add your email to a mailing list or a newsletter. We never sell your details.

Your request is saved in a database in our Cloudflare account. We copy it to our own computer to prepare the audit. We keep your request, and that copy, for 12 months and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your details for our work together.

We use your details because you asked us for the audit, gave them to us for that reason and ticked the box to agree. You can change your mind at any time. Email us and we will delete your request: [email protected].

Google Analytics

Every page on this site loads Google Analytics 4, a Google service that measures how people use the site. It tells us which pages are read, how visitors arrived, roughly where they are (country or city), and what device and browser they use. We use it to see which pages help people and which do not.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser whose names start with _ga. By default they last up to 2 years. They let Google tell a returning browser apart from a new one.

Google says Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We do not send your name or email to Google Analytics. Google keeps the detailed data about each visit for at most 14 months, the longest period Google Analytics allows on a standard account.

Google explains what it does with data from sites like ours on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

Every page also loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a piece of code from LinkedIn. We use it for our LinkedIn ads. It shows us how many people came to the site after seeing or clicking one of our ads. It lets us show our ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited this site. LinkedIn also gives us summary reports about those visitors, without names.

The tag puts LinkedIn cookies in your browser, for example li_fat_id, which LinkedIn lists as lasting 30 days. For visitors outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the UK and Quebec, it also stores a LinkedIn Ads ID called li_adsid. If your browser has JavaScript switched off, the page loads a tiny invisible image from LinkedIn instead, which tells LinkedIn about the visit.

LinkedIn can recognise LinkedIn members who visit this site and may connect their visits across the devices where they use LinkedIn. LinkedIn uses this data for its own purposes as well as ours, under its own privacy policy. LinkedIn says it stores the data on servers in the United States, removes the details that directly identify you within 7 days and deletes the rest within 180 days.

LinkedIn lists the cookies it uses in its cookie table.

Other companies that handle your information

Cloudflare hosts this site and the database that holds audit requests. Its servers see your IP address and browser details every time they send you a page.

Our booking calendar is run by Cal.com. If you book a call, the name, email and notes you type go to Cal.com and then to us. We use them only to hold the call. Cal.com's own privacy policy also applies.

On our book page, the buy button opens a checkout run by Gumroad. Gumroad takes your payment and purchase details under its own privacy policy and tells us about the sale. When you press that button, Google Analytics records it as a buy click, with the address of the page, so we can count buy clicks. That record carries no name or email.

Our email is hosted by Google. When you email us, or we email you your audit, the messages are kept in our Google email account.

Some of these companies keep data on servers outside India. We do not sell information about you to anyone.

Cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser so it can recognise the browser later. Browser storage is similar, but only this site's own pages can read it. This is what the site keeps:

Cal.com, Gumroad and Cloudflare's spam check may set their own cookies when their parts of a page load.

How to limit tracking

To stop Google Analytics recording your visits on any website, install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

If you have a LinkedIn account, you can turn off ads based on your visits to other websites in the advertising settings of your LinkedIn account.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window, which deletes its cookies when you close it. This site still works without cookies.

This site does not change what it does when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Google and LinkedIn can collect information about what you do across different websites, including this one, through the tools described above.

How we protect your information

  • Every page is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the site tells browsers to always use one.
  • We never store your IP address, only the scrambled code described above.
  • The form accepts requests only from our own site, limits how many requests one connection and the whole form can send, and refuses requests that are too large.
  • The audit database is private to our Cloudflare account. The site only adds requests to it, and no page shows them.
  • Our own forms never ask for passwords, bank or card details, health information or other sensitive data.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, and to correct it, update it or delete it. You can withdraw your agreement to our use of your audit request at any time. You can also name another person to use these rights for you.

These rights apply wherever you live. To use any of them, email us and we will reply promptly: [email protected].

From 13 May 2027 you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not happy with our answer.

Grievance Officer

Our Grievance Officer is Harsh Dholakia. Send a complaint about how we handle your information to him by post at Suraiya Building, 33/2 Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata 700020, West Bengal, India, or by email: [email protected].

We will settle your complaint within one month of receiving it.
